The Duress Pin feature is designed for situations where a user is forced to act against their will. By entering the preset code, users can discreetly trigger an alert while the app appears to function normally.

When to use the Duress Pin

This feature is particularly useful for those facing threats such as abduction, workplace harassment, or domestic violence, allowing them to seek help without raising suspicion. The Duress Pin offers a critical layer of protection, providing peace of mind that even in the most dangerous circumstances, help is on the way without alerting the perpetrator.

Domestic violence or coercion

In situations where a user is being coerced by a partner or family member to unlock their phone or app, the Duress Pin allows them to appear compliant while secretly sending an alert for help. This provides a safe and discreet way to notify emergency contacts or authorities without escalating the situation.

Abduction or physical danger

In the event of an abduction or physical confrontation where a perpetrator demands access to the user’s phone, entering the Duress Pin can silently send for help. The app continues to behave normally on the surface, ensuring the user’s safety while help is on its way without the attacker realising it.

Workplace harassment or threats

If an employee is being threatened or pressured by a colleague or superior, they can use the Duress Pin to log into the app without suspicion. This triggers a silent alert in the background, allowing them to discreetly request assistance while the app appears to function as usual.

Evidence Capture

When raising an Alert, the app can automatically start your smartphone’s camera and microphone to capture real-time evidence of the situation around you. Your emergency contacts can access this evidence real-time, as well as being saved in the cloud for later use.

Journey

Journey allows your users to set a start and end point. The app then automatically monitors your journey and alerts your nominated contacts and once you safely arrive or trigger an Alert.

Meeting

The Meeting Timer allows users to feel safe when going into a potentially dangerous meeting or performing a dangerous task. A user set timer will countdown until deactivated meaning the user has to mark themselves as safe, otherwise raising an alert.

Alert

By simply holding down the hexagon button for 3-6 seconds, this sets off an alert and activates the phone’s camera, sending a message and recording to your pre-defined emergency contacts. With our upgraded app, these Alerts are sent to a 24/7 police-approved monitoring centre too.

Privacy

Choose when and when not to share your location. Our smart phone app makes it clear when the app can access your location in times of need. Control what and when you share your data.

Check In
